  7. International and multi-cultural environment
Diversity and a multi-cultural society are embraced and desired in Germany. You will therefore find many international students, but also millions of German citizens with a migration background from hundreds of countries in Germany. Especially the English-taught degree programs and larger university cities in Germany provide an international environment where you will come to meet a lot of different people from all sorts of backgrounds and broaden your horizon.

The German economy and labour market are growing and due to demographic change, there will be an increasing shortage of skilled workers in Germany. Which documents do I need to submit?

The documents you will need to submit depend on the university and study program you are interested in, as each university can have their own admission criteria. However, some documents are always necessary and you can already submit them when you apply to us.

For all programs:

  • Scan/copy of your passport (data page with picture),

  • high school leaving certificate,

  • transcript of records from your high school,

For Bachelors additionally:

  • Proof of language proficiency for your chosen study language (English and/or German)

If your document was originally issued in another language than English or German, you need to get it translated by an authorized and sworn translator in your country. Other documents that might be needed for certain degree programs can include a CV, letter of motivation, letter of recommendation or proof of previous work experience or internships. Your consultant will let you know if you need to submit any of those for your desired program.

What is the difference between you and UNI-ASSIST?

UNI-ASSIST is a service provider for universities whose core business is to check the credentials and academic certificates of non-EU foreigners and to establish comparability with German degrees. UNI-ASSIST therefore mainly represents the interest of the universities.

We are a private education consulting agency. We do not simply check your documents, but we help you find the right study program and make sure your documents are complete and in accordance with admission procedures, guidelines and deadlines. We are "on your side", and we work in your favor. We represent our applicants' and clients' interests and make sure they succeed and get admitted to study programs in Germany. We work with UNI-ASSIST if needed, as certain universities have an application with UNI-ASSIST as part of their application procedure. However, our service includes much more than this.

What happens if I get rejected?

Getting rejected for a study program can happen, but it is unlikely. We are experienced in what we are doing and will minimize the risk of rejections through a.) extensively pre-screening your documents looking for common "rejection red flags", and b.) only recommending and applying for study programs that suit your situation. We strongly believe in tailoring our offers to the needs of each student, so we look at your qualifications and preferences carefully and search for study programs that are likely to except you with your individual prerequisites.

However, if it does happen and you do not get a single admission letter, we will start a new round of applications to different programs.
